The Gilead Alberta facility is involved in the development of both processes and analytical methods for many of the company's worldwide research programs. With 350 highly-trained scientists and technical personnel, the Edmonton based team manufactures active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), as well as some commercial products, and provides technology transfer and assistance to Gilead's commercial API manufacturing partners around the world in support of clinical trials of investigational Gilead therapies.
